The tire facility tested HPC ® on a 5 sqft section of previously uninsulated 4 inch black iron piping.
HPC ® was applied at a thickness of 934 mils WFT [23.72 mm, 9/10"] / 700 mils DFT [17.78 mm, 7/10"] which proved very effective, bringing the temperature of the piping from 186°C [367°F] to 40°C [104° F]
